Abstract

This research is motivated by the low student learning outcomes. This is because
the teacher has not used a variety of learning models, which makes students tend
to be passive, get bored quickly, understanding the material becomes less so that
student learning outcomes are low. The purpose of the study was to determine the
difference in the average learning outcomes using the Course Review Horay
learning model with the average learning outcomes using the lecture method in
science learning and to find out the average learning outcomes using the Course
Review Horay learning model better than those using the Course Review Horay
learning model. on the average learning outcomes using the lecture method in
science learning.
The type of research is True Experiment, Post Only Control Group Design. The
population of this research is the total of the fourth grade students of SD Negeri 4
Tanjung Jaya totaling 51 students consisting of two classes, namely Class IV A
totaling 26 students and Class IV B totaling 25 students. The data collection
technique used a posttest test. in the form of multiple choice questions.
The results showed that the calculation of the Independent Sample T-test obtained
a sig (2-Tailed) value of 0.002 <0.05. And the average value of the experimental
class is 78.85 higher than the control class 70.80, so as for decision making, Ha is
accepted. So overall it can be concluded that there is an effect of using the Course
Review Horay learning model on learning outcomes in science learning.
